Real recipes for common subtitle jobs.
Transcribe → export
Turn speech into timed cues, polish timing, then ship a file. Watch Transcribe minutes on Account / Dashboard.
- Load media and open Control Panel → Transcribe (signed in).
- Run Transcribe with language, model, and segmentation.
- Fix timing on the Video Panel timeline; use Ripple if needed.
- In the Subtitle Panel, run Check warnings / Check merge.
- Optional Style; Export SRT or ASS from the Subtitle Panel footer.
Import → translate
You already have an SRT and need another language. Free translates up to 15 cues per run.
- Load SRT (and media for preview).
- Control Panel → Translate; pick model and target language.
- Use Find & replace or Check Repetition in the Subtitle Panel.
- Export; use Export → 2nd SRT if you need the original track.
Extract → paste
On-screen text (hardsubs) that speech-to-text will miss.
- Seek to the frame with burned-in text.
- Control Panel → Extract; set area and Extract Text.
- Optional Translate Text; Copy into a cue in the Subtitle Panel.
- Align timing on the timeline.
Dual-track 2nd SRT
Use a reference track while editing the main list.
- Load main SRT, then Load 2nd SRT from the Editor tab footer.
- Switch layout to Compare in the Subtitle Panel.
- Apply (Ctrl/Cmd+E) at the playhead; use Merge SRT for bulk gaps.
Guest vs signed-in
Choose how much of the product you need for this session.
- Guest: edit, style, and export locally — no AI or cloud save.
- Sign in: Transcribe, Translate, Extract jobs + Save project.
- Reopen from Dashboard; reload local media for preview.
