Video Panel
Preview media, overlays, and edit timing on the timeline.
What this panel is for
The Video Panel is where you watch the media with burned-in cue overlays and edit start/end times on the waveform timeline.
Load media
Drop a video or audio file on the editor, or use Open / Change media on the timeline. Audio-only projects still show the timeline; some overlays (Extract area) need video. Media stays on your machine; cloud save stores subtitle data only.
- Open / Change media — pick or replace the local media file
Preview overlays
- Main cue — active main-track text at the bottom of the frame
- 2nd SRT — support track shown at the top when loaded
- Karaoke — highlights the active word when cues have word timings (Style tab)
- Style drag — in Style mode, drag the overlay to reposition; Reset in Style tab
- Extract area — OCR region overlay while Extract is active
Timeline
Click empty timeline to seek; right-click to play/pause. Drag cue edges to resize; drag the body to move. Toggle Ripple to shift later cues when you move or resize. Zoom with the slider or Ctrl/Cmd+scroll. Hold Alt while dragging to disable snap to quiet regions. Alt+←/→ nudges selected cues by 100 ms (Shift for 10 ms). [ / ] set selected cue start / end to the playhead.
- Hand — seek without editing cue blocks
- Cursor — edit cue blocks on the timeline
- Ripple — shift later cues on edit
- Zoom — slider or Ctrl/Cmd+scroll
- Waveform — decode locally; hide or cancel if needed
